Drag force on a moving heavy quark with deformed string configuration

چکیده
Abstract To study drag force on a moving heavy quark through plasma, we use deformed AdS space-time, in which deformation parameter c describes non-conformality AdS/QCD. In this case the is mapped to probe string space. Considering probable contribution of string, apply general form c-dependent ansatz computation. Then find acceptable value as it satisfies QCD calculations. Using result, also discuss diffusion constant agreement with phenomenological result for non-relativistic limit. Also show that while absence parameter, strictly increasing function radial coordinate, has maximum versus z.

Drag Force of Moving Quark in STU Background
In this paper we consider a quark moving in D = 5, N = 2 supergravity thermal plasma. By using three charge non-extremal black hole solution (STU solution) we calculate drag force on the quark and diffusion constant from AdS/CFT correspondence.
متن کاملDrag Force of Moving Quark at The N=2 Supergravity
In this paper we consider a moving quark in the thermal plasma at the N=2 Supergravity theory. By using the AdS/CFT correspondence we obtain energy loss of the quark. Then we consider the higher derivative corrections in charged AdS-black hole and calculate the drag force of the moving quark in the thermal plasma. Also we find a limit which N=2 Supergravity solutions are correspondening to the ...
متن کاملNo-Drag String Configurations for Steadily Moving Quark-Antiquark Pairs in a Thermal Bath
We investigate the behavior of stationary string configurations on a fivedimensional AdS black hole background which correspond to quark-antiquark pairs steadily moving in an N = 4 super Yang-Mills thermal bath. There are several branches of solutions, depending on the quark velocity and separation as well as on whether Euclidean or Lorentzian configurations are examined. We study the energetic...
متن کاملDrag force on a sphere moving towards a corrugated wall
From the solution of the creeping-flow equations, the drag force on a sphere becomes infinite when the gap between the sphere and a smooth wall vanishes at constant velocity, so that if the sphere is displaced towards the wall with a constant applied force, contact theoretically may not occur. Physically, the drag is finite for various reasons, one being the particle and wall roughness. Then, f...
متن کاملShock Treatment: Heavy Quark Drag in a Novel AdS Geometry
Abstract We calculate the drag force on a heavy quark hit by a shock wave, thus generalizing the strongly coupled AdS/CFT heavy quark drag calculations to both hot and cold nuclear matter. The derivation employs the trailing string configuration, similar to that used in the literature for a quark moving through a thermal medium, though in the shock metric the string profile is described by a mu...
